What We're Looking For

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience advising international technology companies. The successful candidate will join our Corporate & Commercial legal team and be responsible for a broad range of corporate and commercial matters across our global operations. This role does not include responsibility for privacy, intellectual property, or product compliance, which are handled by separate teams.

You will leverage your deep expertise to drive cross‑functional projects, support our continued expansion across multiple jurisdictions, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. A pragmatic, business‑oriented approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, international environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Projects & Transactions: Drive complex cross‑functional initiatives across Europe, the UK, the US, and other jurisdictions, including market entry and expansion, strategic partnerships, cross-border transactions, and global hiring programmes. Coordinate with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, efficiency, and successful outcomes

  • Corporate & Commercial Advisory: Provide strategic, business‑focused legal advice on a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, such as corporate governance, entity maintenance, structuring, capitalisation, contracting, and regulatory requirements. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (e.g. supplier, customer, partnership, etc)

  • Operational Excellence: Manage day‑to‑day legal tasks and ensure the efficient delivery of legal services across the organisation. Develop and implement processes, templates, and playbooks to improve workflows, promote consistent standards, and support scalability

  • Risk Management & Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with our operations. Monitor regulatory developments relevant to international technology companies and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance. Oversee any legal matters outside privacy, intellectual property, and product compliance

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the business and with external counsel. Act as a strategic partner to leadership, translating complex legal concepts into clear, practical advice and enabling sound decision‑making

  • Process Improvement: Continuously refine and improve legal processes and procedures within the Corporate & Commercial department, collaborating with other legal functions to promote knowledge sharing and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 8 years’ post‑qualification experience gained in a top‑tier law firm and/or in‑house at a multinational technology company; candidates with both law firm and in‑house backgrounds will be strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross‑border corporate and commercial projects, particularly involving Europe, the UK, and the US

  • Proven track record supporting international technology companies and navigating diverse regulatory environments

  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to structure and close a wide range of commercial agreements

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with an ability to drive initiatives from inception to completion while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams

  • Fluency in English at a C1 level, other languages are a plus

  • Excellent communicator and confident negotiator with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for non‑lawyers and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • High degree of business acumen, problem‑solving aptitude, and ability to balance legal risk against business objectives
