Executive Counselor, Financial & Professional Services

The Role:

We are seeking Executive Counselors for our Financial & Professional Services Practice, to advise, guide and provide insights to IT Leaders. The main objective is to assist executives in delivering improved results by optimizing decision making, mitigating risk and addressing the struggles and challenges they face on the path to personal and professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive counselling services, to portfolio of clients within our global Financial & Professional practice, on their technology strategy, roadmaps and execution plans
  • Ability to participate in unstructured value-based client conversations and create new methods for a client’s personal success
  • Provide confidential and professional advising to our members in-person or leveraging collaboration media platforms, including video
  • Evaluate members’ needs and work with them to set objectives and develop a strategy/work plan within the terms and conditions of the members’ agreement;
  • Embrace Info-Tech Research Group culture of continuous learning by participating in on-going self and industry development activities;
  • Provide proactive thought leadership and new ideas not “asked for” on behalf of the client’s membership
  • Participate in regular communication / support / education and participation with Sales Leadership and Account Directors to account planning and support efforts
  • Leverage ITRG and 3rd party assets to deliver on promises within the memberships
  • Diagnose member value expectations pain points and connect them with appropriate Info-Tech Research Group product solutions
  • Provide statistical and summary reports that reflect the elements of service KPI’s, continuous improvement, and promotion of strategic and operational goals and objectives.

Key Criteria:

  • Possess a minimum of 20 years of professional IT experiences at multiple enterprises in North America; including C-Suite or Executive Leadership positions within additional business environments (IT, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc...)
  • Depth of experience in one, or more, of our key FSI industry subsegments of banking, insurance, wealth/asset management or private equity or Professional Services of technology MSP, consulting, legal, real estate, telecommunications, professional associations or not-for-profit
  • Understanding of core business models, industry trends and technology challenges
  • Solid people relationship management skills; operational and systems development skills and experience in proposal writing, financial budgeting, management and reporting
  • In depth understanding of various industry executive management roles, politics, human behavior and predictive scenarios related to IT leadership
  • Ability to coordinate complex service delivery models and respond to diverse needs of a variety of key-stakeholders
  • Exceptional customer service focus, high professionalism and adherence to ethical principles of conduct
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, self-starter
  • Ability to adhere to members and Info-Tech Research Group core value as a trusted executive
  • Strong verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel approx. 25% of the time, as needed and obtain a TN1 Visa
