This in-office time fosters creativity, innovation, communication, and stronger team relationships, supporting both individual and organizational success.Visit for more information, and follow on , , , and .Job DescriptionOpportunity at a GlanceThe Research Ethics, Partner Sites, and Dataset Access department, which lies within the Office of Research Learning and Collaboration (ORLC) seeks a Research Ethics Support Specialist who would be responsible for providing general support and specialization coordination. The specialist will report to the Manager for the office and work closely with ORLC members, students, faculty, and other college administration teams.Responsibilities
  • Managing IRB (Institutional Review Board) inbox (directly supporting students in preparing their research ethics review applications) and communicating with students, using established approaches and templates, allowing for personalized response to the student.
  • IRB recordkeeping and metrics reporting.
  • Serving on ethics committees and university committees.
  • Data collection, transcription, data coding, and other data processing tasks for REPSDA research projects.
  • Copy editing and formatting multi-media student support materials (e.g., FAQ videos) .
  • ORLC projects, as assigned.
QualificationsEducation - Bachelor’s Degree- Social Science or related education * Experience working with students in an educational environment or customer service.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating a Windows-based platform especially Excel and learn the institution's administrative database.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow team-members.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to set and meet deadlines.
  • Creative, innovative, strategic, and able to work independently.
  • Advanced technology user desirable (database maintenance in excel; word template documents; creating/editing of online tutorial videos).
Additional InformationIn support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.7 and $32.86. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
