As a Payroll Sales Solution Specialist, you will be responsible for successfully closing referrals and generating opportunities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment. Effectively and consistently grow sales and the opportunity pipeline and generate new target segments, as well as source, qualify, and develop leads nationally. This entails sourcing and driving new sales leads through prospecting activities via phone, email, internet/social and other marketing campaigns. Monitor the competition and follow current developments. Know your clients' needs and wants to bring new solutions, and services, to the table for discussion.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Generate new client sales using a consultative solution approach through referrals, networking, outbound call campaigns.
  • Research and analyze the potential client or referral's business, industry, etc. to determine the best product and/or solution.
  • Educate, consult, and navigate clients towards the appropriate Newtek products and solutions.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients to expand our clientele and build our business.
  • Listen, identify, and qualify sales opportunities to up-sell additional products and services.
  • Prepare the client proposals using pricing within set guidelines.
  • Develop and participate in implementing a sales strategy to achieve personal and corporate goals.
  • Commit to departmental and individual quotas/goals.
  • Operate as an expert in the field by demonstrating market and industry knowledge.

Qualifications include but not limited to

  • High School or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 months of related business-to-business (B2B) preferably in payroll. Bachelor's degree a plus. • Prior experience in payroll sales, support, or processing.
  • Experience selling cloud/Software as a Service (SaaS). • Good knowledge of company products and solutions a plus. • Must possess and be able to demonstrate strong influencing and closing and consulting skills. • Experience in business development/lead generation, business consulting, sales and marketing preferred. • American Payroll Association certification (FPC or CPP) a plus. • Excellent client relationship building skills. • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing information. • Knowledge of payroll and time systems. • Excellent professional oral, written and presentation skills. • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of management. • Bilingual a plus or may be required based on company needs. • Strong interpersonal skills and must possess a positive attitude. • Attention to accuracy and detail in processing information. • Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines. • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations. • Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity

The salary range for this role is $45,000 to $60,000 a year.
