Why This Role Matters

Our Government Programs Customer Service Representatives are the frontline ambassadors for arenaflex’s government‑related dental plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. You will help members, providers, and partner agencies navigate complex eligibility rules, claim processes, and benefit inquiries. By delivering accurate, compassionate, and timely assistance, you directly contribute to the health and well‑being of the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member & Provider Support: Promptly respond to inquiries via telephone, email, fax, and U.S. mail, ensuring each interaction reflects professional etiquette, clear grammar, and precise punctuation.
  • Eligibility & Benefit Communication: Clearly explain eligibility criteria, benefit details, claim status, and payment information, tailoring explanations to the caller’s level of understanding.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify the root cause of each call, provide appropriate resolutions, and adhere to regulatory and contractual timelines for complaints and grievances.
  • Grievance & Appeals Assistance: Guide callers through grievance and claims‑appeal processes, offering step‑by‑step support and documentation as needed.
  • Accurate Documentation: Capture comprehensive notes in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring all relevant details of each interaction are recorded for future reference.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing Medicare and Medicaid dental programs.
  • Quality & Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed established call‑center quality standards, including average handle time, first‑call resolution, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Claims Processing: Enter, adjust, and reconcile claims as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the system.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training, simulations, and assessments to sharpen technical and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer‑service role within a business environment that utilizes software applications, preferably in a call‑center supporting Medicare and/or Medicaid enrollees.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Windows‑based software applications.
  • Successful completion of arenaflex’s customer‑service simulation assessment (minimum score of 62/100) or equivalent proven experience.
  • Successful completion of multitasking and call‑logging assessment (minimum score of 65/100).
  • Successful completion of email composition assessment (minimum score of 62/100).
  • Ability to work a flexible eight‑hour schedule, starting as early as 7:55 a.m. and ending as late as 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, empathy, and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with dental benefit plans, especially government‑funded programs.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar tools.
  • Certification in customer‑service excellence (e.g., HDI, COPC).
  • Experience working in a fully remote environment, demonstrating self‑discipline and effective time management.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, ACA, and other health‑care compliance standards.
