  • Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud‑native services using modern programming languages such as Go, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Contribute to open‑source projects on platforms like GitHub, engage with community members via Slack, and participate in virtual meet‑ups on Zoom.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for specific services, monitoring health, performance, and security, and driving remediation when issues arise.
  • Continuously stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies that improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of arenaflex products.
  • Document architectural decisions, write clear code comments, and share knowledge through internal wikis and external blog posts.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to ensure all solutions meet rigorous security and regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Programming Skills: Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code in at least one of the following languages: Go, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Open‑Source Mindset: Comfort interacting with open‑source communities, submitting pull requests, and reviewing code through GitHub.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to meet arenaflex, client, and government security screening requirements, including the arenaflex Cloud Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience building Go applications, developing Kubernetes operators, or contributing to CNCF projects such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, or Envoy.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, containerd) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (arenaflex Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Understanding of container security, role‑based access control, and best practices for secure software supply chains.
  • Proven track record of remote work, self‑management, and effective collaboration across time zones.
  • Passion for contributing to open‑source projects beyond work responsibilities.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to dissect complex technical challenges and devise elegant, production‑ready solutions.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working in cross‑functional, distributed teams; respects diverse perspectives and builds consensus.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a rapidly evolving environment; quickly learns new languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Quality Focus: Commitment to writing testable, well‑documented code and adhering to coding standards.
  • Customer‑Centricity: Keeps the end‑user experience at the forefront of design decisions.
