As a Senior SailPoint Identity Governance Engineer, you will be the driving force behind the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of identity workflows that protect critical data, enable secure cloud migration, and empower business teams to operate with confidence. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) workflows for provisioning, de‑provisioning, role mining, access certification, and Joiner‑Mover‑Leaver (JML) processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional software and platform teams to integrate SailPoint with enterprise applications, cloud services, and on‑premise systems.
  • Lead the implementation of robust Web Services, REST API, and SCIM connectors to automate user onboarding, off‑boarding, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide end‑to‑end installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IAM solutions in complex, multi‑cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles for IAM processes and integrations.
  • Partner with security operations, compliance, and audit teams to ensure IAM controls meet internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including performance tuning, automation of repetitive tasks, and adoption of best‑in‑class IAM practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical subject‑matter expert for identity governance across the organization.
  • Participate in release management, change control, and incident response activities to maintain high availability and reliability of IAM services.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience implementing and supporting IAM solutions, preferably SailPoint IdentityIQ, in enterprise‑scale environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, XML, DSML, Linux/Unix, Tomcat, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Identity Governance Expertise: Deep understanding of access control models (RBAC, ABAC), role mining, access certification, and federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  • API Integration: Strong knowledge of RESTful services, SCIM, and custom connector development for seamless system integration.
  • Problem‑Solving Ability: Demonstrated capability to diagnose complex IAM issues, design scalable solutions, and implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud‑native IAM services.
  • Background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, PCI‑DSS).
  • Previous work in a large‑scale retail or e‑commerce environment, understanding of high‑volume transaction processing and data privacy concerns.
