[Remote] Project Manager, Corporate

Riley Power Group is a leader in the industrial construction sector, and they are seeking a Commercial Project Manager to oversee construction projects from client engagement to project closeout. The role requires strong commercial and technical expertise to manage project execution, client relationships, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed proposals, bid packages, and project presentations for prospective clients
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine scope, risks, and execution requirements
- Perform project estimating, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and contingency analysis
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to define project requirements and expectations
- Assist in contract negotiations and project award processes
- Assume full ownership of projects from award through completion and closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling tools
- Coordinate procurement, subcontractors, field labor, equipment, and material deliveries
- Monitor project progress, budgets, productivity, and resource allocation
- Manage project financial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and contractual requirements
- Conduct regular project status meetings with clients, field leadership, and internal stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues affecting schedule, cost, or quality
- Serve as the primary client representative throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunities
- Manage contract administration, scope changes, claims, and commercial correspondence
- Ensure timely communication regarding project status, milestones, and deliverables
- Oversee project turnover and closeout activities
- Ensure completion of punch-list items, final documentation, warranties, and as-built records
- Conduct project reviews to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities
- Complete final financial reconciliation and project performance reporting
Skills
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial construction, maintenance, fabrication, welding, mechanical contracting, power generation, or related industries
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from initiation through closeout
- Proven experience in: Proposal writing and development, Project estimating, Cost control and forecasting, Contract administration, Project scheduling, Client relationship management
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project execution strategies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Candidates with hands-on trade experience are strongly preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following trades is highly desirable: Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Welder, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Millwright, Industrial Construction Craftsman
