About the Role The Director of Account Management will lead our Account Management organization, balancing strong client relationship management with an eye toward systems-level thinking - building the tools, processes, and team capabilities needed to scale.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment and is equally energized by building operational infrastructure that enables a high-performing team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the Account Management team, setting vision, goals, and a high-performance culture
  • Own retention and growth targets across employer groups
  • Build and refine scalable processes, tools, and systems that enable the team to serve a growing and more complex book of business
  • Serve as a senior client-facing leader with brokers and HR decision-makers, modeling strong relationship management
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive automation and self-service capabilities that improve efficiency and client experience
  • Track and report on key performance metrics to senior leadership
  • Support new market expansion and account transitions as the company scale

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or a similar function within the insurance or healthcare industry, with 4+ years in a leadership role
  • Deep familiarity with employer group health insurance
  • A track record of managing employer relationships and broker partnerships
  • Systems-level thinker who can identify process gaps and build scalable solutions, not just manage day-to-day issues
  • Natural energy for client-facing work - someone who is energized by broker and employer relationships, not just operational management
  • Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-changing environment
  • Analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • East Coast location strongly preferred; willingness to travel approximately once per month
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field

What You'll Get

  • Competitive salary, bonus opportunity, and equity package
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
  • A 401k retirement plan
  • Paid vacation and company holidays
  • Opportunity to make an impact at a rapidly growing mission-driven company transforming healthcare in the U.S.

In taking a market-based approach to compensation, base pay may vary depending on location. Additionally, base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related skills and experience.

Sidecar Health is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to building a diverse team. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status or disability status.
