Job Overview
As an Elementary Math Tutor with arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in elementary math, including basic math skills, entry-level geometry, and pre-algebra
- Developing and implementing effective lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing regular session reports to our office and families
- Adapting to different learning styles and teaching methods to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed
Responsibilities
* Provide a session report for our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
- Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student
- Successfully and professionally teach students to fit their individual needs
- Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests
- Follow-up with office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
- Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
- Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry
- Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
- Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
- Strong administration skills
- Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
- Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must
- Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
