Legacy Food Group is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and help drive data-driven decision making across the company. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that supports our business insights and analytics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and reliable data flow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration of large datasets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and decicion makers to optimize data delivery and support advanced analytics needs.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
  • Implement and manage data storage solutions including data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing data systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, preferably in the food production or distribution industry.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools and technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, Snowflake, or similar.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical concepts effectively.
