Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling incoming contacts from guests around the world, including voice, email, and chat interactions
  • Processing reservation requests and supporting basic loyalty and customer care requests
  • Identifying guest reservation needs and following sales techniques to maximize revenue
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for special booking rules and requests, loyalty guidelines, and case management
  • Providing customer support through assistance and guidance in issue resolution and open communication with Marriott properties, related company contacts, and third parties
  • Following all company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets
  • Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests' service needs, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience is required, but a passion for customer service and a willingness to learn is essential
  • A strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
  • A reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 3 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload
  • A physical cable plug-in (ethernet) connection

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Related work experience in customer service or a related field
  • Supervisory experience or a willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
  • A license or certification in a related field
