Traveling Field Service Technician II

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is a leading provider of digital imaging solutions. They are seeking a Traveling Field Service Technician to provide on-site service, diagnose technical issues, and build customer relationships while traveling extensively across the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cutting-edge Canon equipment and technologies
  • Build strong relationships with customers through direct on-site service
  • Receive ongoing training and opportunities for career growth in a supportive, team-oriented environment
  • Travel extensively within the US to install the Canon Ink Jet Product
  • Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues using established procedures
  • Deliver high-quality, professional on-site service to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Complete Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and maintain all assigned Canon property
  • Assist with escalated technical or customer service issues and guide less experienced technicians

Skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent + 1–2 years of technical or field service experience
  • Basic understanding of internet/network environments
  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to complete the 20-day PDIF training
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75-80%), including overnight stays typically lasting up to a duration of 2 weeks
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active for most of the workday
  • Comfortable with shift work, installs will involve Overtime and weekend work
