Experienced Customer Support Representative – Higher Education Industry

Job Summary

As a Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries through phone calls, emails, chats, and SMS messages. You will work in a fully remote setting, with the flexibility to self-schedule 15 hours per week and commit to a 60-day period (as needed). Key Responsibilities

* Respond to customer inquiries through phone calls, emails, chats, and SMS messages in a timely and professional manner

  • Provide accurate and helpful information to resolve customer issues and concerns
  • Utilize Zendesk to manage and track customer interactions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and escalate concerns as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and update customer information as necessary
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on product knowledge and best practices
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ year of customer support experience in a similar industry (higher education or related field)

  • Moderate technical knowledge and basic troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple customer interactions simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Zendesk or similar customer support software

  • Familiarity with the higher education industry and its products and services
  • Strong knowledge of customer support principles and best practices
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and another language)
