Job Summary
As a 1st Grade Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective instruction to a class of students. You will work closely with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that every student receives the support and resources they need to succeed. This is a remote position, and you will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver high-quality instruction to a class of students, including lesson plans, individualized instruction, and differentiated learning strategies
- Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that every student receives the support and resources they need to succeed
- Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders through regular updates and progress reports
- Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Current Louisiana teacher certification
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a love of learning in students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Familiarity with educational technology and online platforms
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
- Experience with project-based learning and differentiated instruction
