Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Small Commercial Auto Product Management is a key leadership role that reports to the Assistant Vice President, Auto line of business. You will be responsible for managing the profit and loss of the Auto line of business, developing business cases and action plans to drive top and bottom-line performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the Auto line of business and drive strategic initiatives to achieve long-term profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Auto Offering: Support profitable growth of the Auto product nationwide, contributing to the achievement of P&L goals and developing business cases and action plans to drive top and bottom-line performance.
  • Monitor and Analyze Business Performance: Ongoing monitoring of top-line production trends and bottom-line loss trends to draw conclusions about how to improve our product offering, and partners closely with state product management, data science, and Actuarial organizations to optimize product performance.
  • Drive Financial Results: Contribute to top and bottom-line results based on responsibilities above, identify, analyze and take calculated risks to develop new business opportunities and extend current business in order to positively impact financial objectives.
  • Special Projects: Participate on special projects to support the Small Commercial strategies and Operating objectives, and engage with Actuarial, Product Managers, and Finance to develop expense budgets and track third-party data spend.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience in product management, actuarial, data, or science.
  • Entrepreneurial Thinking: Strong customer focus and team orientation, with efficient and effective communication skills.
  • Leadership Capability: Demonstrated leadership capability and maturity, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to look at different data elements and formulate a business case.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in product management or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling, with experience working with large datasets.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
