Role Overview

Chartis is seeking an experienced Epic Engagement Manager to join our Revenue Cycle Practice. Engagement Managers are integral members of our consulting teams, leading healthcare provider clients in the full spectrum of revenue cycle-related Epic projects. Qualified candidates will have deep expertise in the revenue cycle, with specific expertise in patient access workflows. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Epic implementation and optimization projects related to front-end revenue cycle modules such as Cadence, Prelude, Grand Central, and Welcome/MyChart.

As a client-facing leader, you will manage cross-functional teams, serve as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, and ensure that Epic solutions align with operational goals, regulatory requirements, and patient access best practices.

This is a remote position with occasional client travel.

Responsibilities

  • Project and Engagement Leadership

    • Lead the end-to-end implementation or optimization of Epic revenue cycle modules, with specific expertise in Patient Access.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders during the engagement.

    • Develop and manage project plans, scope, timelines, and deliverables.

    • Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution across clinical, financial, and operational teams.

  • Patient Access Expertise

    • Provide strategic guidance and workflow redesign for areas such as scheduling, registration, referrals, patient intake, and point-of-service collections.

    • Ensure Epic configurations support revenue integrity, patient satisfaction, and access efficiency.

    • Advise on best practices for access governance, appointment coordination, eligibility verification, and front-end RCM metrics.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Engage executive sponsors, operational leaders, and front-line teams to drive adoption and change management.

    • Collaborate with technical and application build teams to ensure system configuration aligns with patient access workflows.

    • Prepare and deliver executive-level status reports and presentations.

  • Team Oversight and Coaching

    • Manage a matrixed team of Analysts, Associate Consultants, Consultants, Systems Specialists, and Business Process Consultants.

    • Provide mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • 5+ years of experience leading Epic projects, including 3+ years in Epic Patient Access modules.

  • Epic certification in Cadence, Prelude, or other Patient Access modules.

  • Proven success managing large, cross-functional Epic implementations or optimizations.

  • Deep knowledge of Epic’s revenue cycle roadmap and integration points with billing, HIM, and clinical documentation.

  • Experience with MyChart, patient self-scheduling, and digital access solutions.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a client-service mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical content for operational audiences.

  • Analytical thinking, risk management, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Adaptability to evolving project scopes, priorities, and organizational cultures.

Salary range: $150,000-$200,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
