About This Job:

Responsibilities:

• Elevate the quality of UX and UI design of digital experiences for Merchants and partners serving merchants, with an emphasis on Amex Offers.
• Collaborate closely with the Product, Research, Marketing, and Engineering teams to define and create designs.
• Communicate designs and work with Engineering to ensure proper implementation.
• Develop knowledge-driven solutions by partnering with our Research team to incorporate customer findings and principles throughout the design process.
• Transform ideas, business opportunities, partner feedback, and analysis into a vision that delivers a clear, useful, and positive outcome for Amex Merchants.
• Regularly share your designs and review the work of other team members to gain insights, feedback, and drive cross-team collaboration.
• Seek and share opportunities to refine both individual and team processes.
• Clearly and confidently communicate with a preference for visual storytelling.
• Be a passionate advocate for the Amex Merchant.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience
• Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an agile environment
• Exceptional skills in UX and collaboration design
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred)
• Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects
• Experience communicating to stakeholders how design delivers on customer and business objectives.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing UX writing and microcopy best practices
• Understanding of information architecture and how to apply it to design.
• Experience creating journey maps and service blueprints to understand and communicate a full end-to-end experience.
• Experience using or contributing to design systems and DesignOps
• Experience working in a heavily regulated industry or on a project with significant design constraints
• A portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process
