Working closely with the Head of Wallet Payments and Business Intelligence Architecture & BI, you will partner with diverse data analysts, instrumentation engineers, and engineering teams to identify and define requirements for data pipeline development. A strong understanding of data governance principles and a proactive approach to data quality are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and understand complex datasets, identify and design correlations between heterogeneous data sources for effective analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity and identify anomalies through data validation rules and alerts.
  • Develop Python and Shell scripts for data ingestion from external data sources to generate business insights.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Big Data systems, data pipelines, and data processing.
  • Strong experience with technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Pig, Apache Hive, Apache Sqoop, and Apache Flash.
  • Ability to interpret API specifications, identify key API calls, extract data, and implement data pipelines using SQL-compatible data structures.
  • Deep understanding of data governance principles and experience implementing data quality checks and anomaly detection.
  • Experience with various distributed data formats like Apache Avro, Apache Parquet, and common data transformation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python, Unix Shell scripting, and Reliance-driven schedulers.
  • Solid understanding of Core Java, Spark, Teradata, and ANSI SQL.
  • Experience with rule-based tools and APIs for multi-platform data integration on large datasets is highly desirable.

Benefits of Working at Workwarp:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Generous retirement plans, including a 401(k) with company matching.
  • Opportunities for investment and participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
  • Paid time off, including vacation days, holidays, and sick leave.
  • Employee discounts on Apple products.
  • Wellness programs and initiatives to support employee health and well-being.
  • Transportation benefits to help offset commuting costs.
  • Parental leave policies to support employees with families.
  • Tuition reimbursement programs for continuing education and professional development.
