Join the Magic:
We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Food Prep Cast Member to join our team at the Disneyland Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our guests.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation guidelines
- Divide and organize food on serving dishes, ensuring portion control and plate presentation
- Cook, mix, and season ingredients to create dressings, sauces, marinades, fillings, and spreads
- Work with a variety of food items, including eggs, gluten, yeast, tree nuts, and more
- Wash, peel, cut, scoop, dice, and julienne vegetables and fruits
- Plan, measure, mix, and cook hors d'oeuvres, salads, pastas, sandwich fillings, waffles, and other food items
- Operate cooking equipment, such as grills, gas ranges, electric reach, grills, deep fryers, serving tables, waffle irons, frying pans, skillets, and more
- Work in various stations, including storage prep, cold prep, construction, and hot prep stations
- Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation, including temperature control and HACCP protocols
- Assist the chef in preparing items for guests with special dietary needs
- Clean kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., culinary arts, hospitality)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds and stand for long periods
- Basic knowledge of cooking equipment and kitchen safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a culinary education program or equivalent
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
