Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a design strategy that aligns with business objectives and creator needs, ensuring a consistent product experience.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to shape the product roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and allocate design resources effectively.
• Dedicate 30% of your time to hands-on design work in Figma, contributing to high-impact projects and providing clear design direction.
• Lead, mentor, and foster the growth of a diverse team of designers, promoting their professional development and excellence.
• Establish design processes that balance speed and quality, maintaining high standards and encouraging experimentation.
• Develop and implement a cohesive strategy for integrating brand and marketing within our product experience.

Who You'll Work With

You'll join a passionate team dedicated to revolutionizing creator tools at vidIQ. As Product Design Manager/Director, you'll report directly to the Head of Product and lead a distributed team of four designers across global time zones. You'll work closely with product and engineering managers to drive strategic design initiatives that impact creators' success.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience designing and shipping software for web, iOS, and Android, with some brand and marketing design experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience managing designers, developing design systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• A passion for empowering creators, with a desire to help YouTube creators succeed.
• Dynamic mentorship, supportive sponsorship, and motivational leadership skills.
• Experience collaborating remotely and working in a product-led company that leverages data to inform the roadmap.
