About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Mass Spectrometry Applications Specialist to join our team, supporting a world-leading mass spectrometry manufacturer. As a field-based technical specialist, you will provide post-sales support to our omics and imaging customers, helping them to unlock the full potential of their instrument investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional application support to customers, enabling them to exploit the full capabilities of their instruments
• Develop and troubleshoot customer methods, providing expert technical support as required
• Perform instrument and method demonstrations to showcase the latest technological advancements
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and drive business growth
• Provide comprehensive customer training and support to ensure seamless instrument operation
• Represent the company at high-profile conferences, presenting the latest technological advancements in the industry

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Accomplished Scientist with a background in LC-MS omics and/or MALDI imaging
• Strong understanding of mass spectrometry and its applications in proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and other related fields
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of self-motivation and organization
• Home-based with extensive travel (up to 70%) to customer sites across the UK and Ireland
