Job Summary:

Rock Valley College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychology Adjunct Faculty to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating class syllabi, planning course content, utilizing our Learning Management System (Canvas), assessing student progress, and maintaining student records. You will also participate in department meetings, collaborate with the Academic Chair and Dean, and contribute to program and curricular assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create class syllabi and plan course content under the direction of the Dean and Academic Chair
• Utilize Rock Valley College's Learning Management System (Canvas) to assess student progress, maintain student records, and respond to students in a timely manner
• Maintain online office hours weekly and meet with students on an as-needed basis
• Assist with program and curricular assessment and participate in department meetings
• Collaborate with the Academic Chair and Dean to achieve departmental goals

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Psychology or a related discipline (e.g., Sociology)
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Psychology
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth and development in the discipline
• Experience working with diverse populations and a strong understanding of Rock Valley College's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Core Values
