As we scale, we are looking for ambitious, quota-carrying Sales Executives who know how to lead with value, navigate complex buying groups, and close deals. POSITION OVERVIEW As a Sales Executive, you’ll be responsible for owning the entire sales cycle—from pipeline generation and qualification to driving discovery, delivering compelling demos, handling objections, and negotiating contracts. You’ll work directly with mid-market and enterprise decision-makers (e.g., Heads of Audit, Chief Compliance Officers, Risk Managers, General Counsel), backed by an experienced pre-sales team and a mature GRC product suite. Your primary mandate: close new business and drive net new revenue. This role reports to the Sales Leader and is fully remote. Candidates must be based in Denver, Austin, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or Connecticut to support regional demand generation and potential onsite client interactions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Full Sales Cycle Ownership Develop and close opportunities through cold outreach, inbound follow-up, and strategic targeting. Run personalized, value-driven discovery and product demonstrations with a focus on solving business pain. Pipeline Generation Consistently build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads through outbound prospecting, channel collaboration, event follow-up, and marketing programs. Closing Execution Manage and advance deals through multiple stakeholder groups, including Legal, Procurement, InfoSec, and Executives. Navigate competitive landscapes with confidence and urgency. Sales Forecasting & Accountability Maintain CRM hygiene and provide accurate forecasting, deal updates, and territory plans. Be accountable to a monthly, quarterly, and annual quota with clear KPIs. Product Mastery Develop deep fluency in the Empowered GRC Platform and speak knowledgeably about audit management, internal controls, compliance workflows, and connected assurance. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to build value cases, execute campaigns, and ensure seamless handoffs post-sale. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience: 5–6 years of success in a quota-carrying B2B sales role Experience in SaaS or enterprise software is strongly preferred GRC, risk, audit, or compliance software experience is a plus, but not required Performance: History of exceeding quota in competitive sales environments Proven ability to close deals from $25K–$150K+ ACV Confident navigating 6–9 month sales cycles with multiple stakeholders Skills: Excellent discovery, objection handling, and negotiation skills Skilled at developing business cases and leading executive conversations Strong written communication and CRM discipline (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce) Attributes: Self-starter who thrives in a high-performance, fully remote team Highly organized and focused; you don’t let deals slip through the cracks Competitive, coachable, and relentlessly focused on the win LOCATION REQUIREMENT This is a fully remote role, but candidates must reside in one of the following states: Colorado (Denver preferred) Texas (Austin preferred) New York New Jersey Massachusetts Connecticut COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $125,000 base salary + uncapped commission Competitive OTE with accelerators for overperformance Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays Fully remote work with flexibility and autonomy Career advancement opportunities in a rapidly growing company WHY JOIN EMPOWERED?
