Academic Assistant - REMOTE
Academic Assistant – Registration Services Location: Remote (Boston, MA-based) Duration: 3-month W2 contract (potential to extend) Pay Rate: $20–25/hr (based on education/experience) Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm Overview: Support registration, leave of absence, withdrawals, and student service operations for a global higher education network. Report to the Associate Registrar and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate student records and a smooth registration experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage registration workflows and recurring tasks (e.g., co-op registration, I Am Here attendance).
- Maintain student records and handle leaves/withdrawals.
- Respond to student/staff inquiries via ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with academic departments and administrative offices to streamline services.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years in higher ed (preferably Registrar’s Office).
- Strong workflow/process management and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with FERPA, CORI, and student information systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
