Client Position Regulatory Reporting Analyst Internship

Support Regulatory Reporting, Delivery, and Change Management at Societe Generale in a six to twelve month program with full-time potential. Your Role: Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a support person in the Regulatory Reporting, Delivery, and Change Management departments, with tasks spanning all three areas.
  • Making available resources for administrative and financial processing of derivative markets initiated by various Business Lines.
  • Performing level one auditing in accordance with regulatory requirements and setting up secure transaction processing facilities.
  • Managing operational risks and participating in drawing up economic and accounting results for SG Coverage and Investment Banking & International Private Banking operations.
  • Verifying open interest/position management adjustments on CME and ICE US, CME large trader adjustments, CFTC large trader adjustments, and delivery positions.
  • Assisting with audits required for regulatory reporting, document storage, and project support as requested.
  • Addressing alerts and notifying the immediate manager of any issues or discrepancies in expiring or notice period positions.
  • Assisting with updating and writing procedures and workflow documents.
  • Participating in local projects to optimize daily tasks, identifying improvements, managing projects, and formalizing requirements for implementation.
  • Participating in the design, testing, and implementation of solutions, and in the implementation of organizational or technical solutions for optimized processing.
  • Working with clients, Account Executives, business managers, and operation teams to manage projects and define business requirements.
  • Proactively following up on assigned projects/tasks to ensure business needs are met.
  • Performing user acceptance testing of in-house or third-party applications prior to deployment.
  • Creating or updating functional support documents and analyzing functional processes and procedures.
  • Managing issues related to process decisions and preferences, searching for best practices, and proposing solutions.
  • Participating in the definition, implementation, and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for the Operations Department.

About You: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of futures products and physical deliverable products (desired/plus).
  • Ability to estimate risks or opportunities of actions and initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills for follow-up with client services or affiliates to resolve problems.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Willingness to accept challenging assignments.
  • Understanding of and ability to explain reasons for implemented changes.
  • Willingness to provide extra support to team leader and colleagues when necessary.
  • 1+ years of applicable experience (desired/plus).
  • Studies in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or other quantitative subjects (preferred).
  • Ability to start at 6:00 AM CST.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $70,000.
  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility to work remotely and on-site, promoting collaboration and interaction.

  • Base salary does not include overtime pay, bonus, or other benefits; actual offer may vary based on skills and experience.
