About the Role

We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Finance Generalist to support payroll processing, accounts payable and HR administration. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely communication across departments and with external vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience in both finance and human resources functions and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Work hours: 9:00 AM-6:00PM CST

Work set-up: Remote

What you’ll do

  • Manage the payroll inbox and validate employee timecards for accuracy and timely submission.

  • Retrieve and reconcile time and billing data from Vendor Management System (VMS) portals.

  • Coordinate tax submittal requests and reporting with the managed payroll provider

  • Oversee accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor communication.

  • Respond to general payroll questions and assist employees with pay- or benefit-related issues.

  • Prepare and distribute client invoices on a regular and ad hoc basis.

  • Handle HR-related tasks such as employment verifications, benefits administration, and terminations in thepayroll system.

  • Maintain accurate records and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to payroll, HR, and finance.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, or general finance/HR support.

  • Proficient with payroll systems and VMS platforms.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard business tools.
