Team Description Work Highlights The Developer Experience Delivery Engineering team is responsible for the design, development, maintenance and operation of the systems and tools that enable all Zillow Group engineers to build, test, deploy and ship features to our customers. Our team is at the forefront of adopting new technologies and processes which create company wide standards for product development teams. It is a broad area of ownership that has a critical impact on the quality and efficiency of all software development at Zillow Group. We serve all of Zillow’s internal technology teams, along all lines of businesses, as well as functional areas This position has an impact across 100% of ZGs properties and technology future We are building the next generation capabilities to automate the workflow for developers so they can focus on feature development without distractions We’re looking to build the golden standard of continuous integration, continuous deployments, progressive delivery, and set industry standards. As a Principal Engineer in the DevEx Delivery Engineering organization this role will be responsible for leading the design implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure automation for our on premise Gitlab and Artifactory installs. These are mission critical systems for all of Zillow Group development teams that require regular updates and patching with zero downtime. Key Responsibilities: Participate in all stages of application development, including UI design development, backend development, deployment, and application monitoring Iterate quickly and ship code when its ready. Youll help the team shorten our development cycle while maintaining high quality. Develop infrastructure for a cloud platform that can handle high-volume traffic Work with teams and technical leaders across the organization to understand architecture and align strategy/vision on shared platforms Mentor and develop principal and senior technical leaders across the organization Help set operational excellence standards and best practices Champion improvements in the quality and stability of service fundamentals and promote engineering best practices Help the team shorten our development cycles while maintaining high quality Partner with senior Product leadership to align engineering capability to business strategy Apply Job!
