We are seeking skilled Legal/Judicial contract professionals with extensive experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position is entirely remote, allowing independent contractors the flexibility to manage their own schedules. Key Responsibilities • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and various judicial proceedings. • Process audio recordings with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring adherence to style guides for verbatim transcripts. • Collaborate with our supportive in-office team for guidance and assistance when required. Required Skills • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential. • Exceptional listening abilities and adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides. • Strong literacy skills, encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Proficiency in typing with both speed and accuracy. • Capability to handle extreme audio/text content, which may be sensitive or offensive. • Familiarity with legal terminology is beneficial. • A background check is required for all candidates. • Court reporting students may also be considered for this role. Qualifications • Significant experience in legal transcription, particularly in transcribing depositions and hearings, is necessary. • Candidates must possess excellent literacy and listening skills alongside a keen attention to detail.
