Medical Transcriptionist job at CHICKASAW NATION INDUSTRIES INC. Edmond, OK. It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.SUMMARYThe Medical Transcriptionist transcribes and edits medical dictations while managing administrative tasks such as organizing medical records and scheduling appointments at the Mike Moroney Aeronautical Center in OKC. Requires proficiency in medical terminology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation.Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property. As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to pass a customer clearance investigation (VAP) for access to facilities, equipment and property. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Transcribes medical dictations, ensuring clarity and accuracy.Edits and proofreads transcripts for grammatical, spelling, and formatting errors.Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.Organizes and manages electronic medical records, ensuring timely updates.Collaborates with medical staff to clarify dictations and resolve discrepancies.Stays current with medical terminology, practices, and transcription standards.Uses transcription software and electronic health record systems effectively.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one to three (1-3) years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
