This ensures outstanding client service and timely delivery. Position Description: Are you interested in shifting from your current role as a Legal Admin to a position as a Digital Reporter? As a Legal Admin - Digital Reporter ("DR"), your responsibility would be to oversee civil litigation proceedings and capture all content, including witness testimony, using digital tools. The Digital Reporter is responsible for: • Supervising proceedings as an impartial custodian of the record. • Administering oaths to witnesses and fulfilling duties as a State Notary. • Recording proceedings with high-fidelity audio technology for clear and comprehensive documentation. • Annotating case events and terminology accurately for precise transcription. • Conducting in-depth research and verifying information from various sources. • Utilizing digital databases and online research tools proficiently. Requirements: • Obtain certification or state licensure as required • Possess or have the ability to obtain certification/state licensure (in required states) • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, U.S. civil proceedings • Ownership of or willingness to acquire digital reporting equipment • Confidence in moderating live legal proceedings • Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing • Proficient with technology, including strong keyboard skills • Professional demeanor, reliability, punctuality, and presentability • Willingness to work as an independent contractor • Note: No shorthand nor stenography is required • Willing to work both remotely and in person Advertisement: Explore a thriving career in the rapidly expanding field of Digital Reporting with Veritext, the industry leader.
