Job title: Mid-Level IT Service Desk Specialist: Advance Support in Fort Sam Houston, TX at NetImpact Strategies Company: NetImpact Strategies Job description: Job Description:NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Service Desk Specialist to support a Federal Agency.This role is located 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX. May require occasional travel. Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues for users via phone, email, or chat.
  • Ensure proper escalation of unresolved issues and follow up with users to verify satisfaction.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, providing escalation support for automation hardware, software, systems, and peripherals, both remotely and on-site.
  • Assist with call overflow during peak periods, ensuring support requests are logged in the ticketing system per service level agreements.
  • Provide on-site maintenance for government-owned equipment, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, and manage LAN-connected device repairs and modifications.
  • Configure and troubleshoot peripherals (printers, monitors, scanners), adjust BIOS/CMOS settings, install drivers, and document all activities in the ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Operating Systems, office software, and network protocols (TCP/IP, wireless).
  • Provide clear and concise documentation for all technical support activities for internal review and auditing purposes.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications and Certifications
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
  • Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.
  • IAT II certification compliant with DoD 8570.01-M requirements. (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CySA+ **)
  • CE: Associate (professional preferred) level certificate.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX. May require occasional travel.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
  • Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
  • Professional-level certifications in supported technologies.
  • Experience working within Federal or DoD systems and environments.
