Data Entry Clerk- START ASAP
Job Title: Data Entry Clerk Location: Uniondale, NY 11556 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Compensation: $18 per hour Job Type: Long-term Temporary (Potential for Permanent Placement) Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to support our customs operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data processing related to import/export activities. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter data into operational systems to support customs processing.
- Ensure timely and compliant customs documentation and workflow.
- Communicate customs requirements clearly to internal teams and external customers.
- Track and trace customs files; generate and maintain related reports.
- Verify and process client billing with precision and timeliness.
- Transfer customs declaration data from source documents into the customs entry system.
- Assist in verifying and submitting customs declarations to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in data entry or logistics preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with customs processes or international shipping is a plus.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
