Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist (Jewelry Business)

About the position The Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist at Rustic & Main is responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial operations within a growing, family-owned jewelry business. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online and ADP, as well as strong organizational skills to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with payroll regulations. The position offers flexibility in work hours and can be part-time or full-time based on the candidate's availability and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.

  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports for leadership review.

  • Manage expense reporting and ensure timely employee reimbursements.

  • Process weekly payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Track and manage employee PTO and leave balances.

,

  • Handle payroll-related questions from employees and provide support during onboarding.

  • Receive, review, and pay vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payment.

  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.

  • Set up payroll accounts for new employees and ensure they are correctly onboarded into PTO and payroll systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping (QuickBooks Online proficiency required).

  • Experience processing payroll (ADP experience preferred).

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounts payable processes.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
