Business Intelligence Analyst Position Information Position Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Department: MGT Administration Operations Posting Link: https://www.ubjobs.buffalo.edu/postings/56044 Job Type: Full-Time Posting Detail Information Position Summary The School of Management (SOM) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive data analyses, reports, and datasets that inform and enhance the performance of our academic, administrative, and operational processes. Reports and dashboards will monitor operations and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of career services, internal/external engagement, classroom management, rankings, assessment, performance management, budget, and other activities within the School of Management. The University at Buffalo is a large organization with business intelligence analysts working centrally and distributed among the academic and administrative units, such as the School of Management. This business intelligence analyst will function as the sole analyst on the SOM team, with the support and community of data professionals across the university. This is a highly independent role where you will serve as the primary data expert, managing all aspects of business intelligence for the unit. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: ? Participate in gathering needs/requests and work with leadership for guidance on information strategy, vision, and priorities. ? Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing requeststo address critical business questions and key performance metrics. ? Provide user support for BI products, including helping users navigate and understand reports. ? Identify and evaluate analytical tools and related new technologies that improve product delivery and presentation. ? Collaborate with other offices and subject matter experts to establish the ideal reporting environment. ? Minimum Qualifications ? Bachelor?s degree with 2 years of experience or master?s degree or professional certification with no experience Preferred Qualifications ? A Bachelor?s degree with one year of experience in the collection and analysis of statistical data. ? Professional experience in higher education is desirable.
