GENERAL FUNCTION The Marketing Communications Manager will assist in the execution of the organization’s marketing strategy by creating and maintaining strategic marketing content. This individual will ensure the organization’s key messages are effectively communicated and distributed across all channels (including B2B and B2C) while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Utilize writing, research and creative skills to produce strategic content that aligns with organizational goals. • Develop strategic marketing content to support membership growth and retention. • Execute the content development of website landing pages, e-newsletters, social media posts, blog posts, press releases and other shareable content. • Create and propagate an enthusiastic brand message that resonates with members and consumers. • Create and maintain the editorial calendar for all communications. • Compose speaker scripts for videos, and key events. • Work directly with Vision Source members to develop testimonials and success stories. • Assess state of current materials – revise existing landing pages, marketing materials, etc., as appropriate. • Build and leverage relationships with top industry media, editors, writers, and associations. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or Journalism. • 3-5 years of experience in a Marketing Communications role developing content and implementing campaigns. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated project management skills. • Highly motivated self-stater with strong communication and time-management skills. • Strong attention to detail. • Exceptional interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated creative, writing, editing, and multi-tasking capabilities. • Experience collaborating cross-functionally. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Adobe Creative Suite and basic HTML experience a plus.
