About the position As an Aircraft Appearance Agent at Worldwide Flight Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of aircraft for flights. This position involves a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall appearance and hygiene of the aircraft interiors. You will be responsible for equipping the airplane cabin with necessary supplies such as rugs, linens, and blankets, following specific checklist specifications. This role requires physical stamina as you will be carrying supplies weighing up to 50 lbs on board the aircraft and performing thorough cleaning tasks using both manual and powered equipment. In addition to cleaning, you will be expected to maintain a keen awareness of security procedures and report any suspicious activities or breaches in compliance with the WFS site security plan. Your responsibilities will also include checking the condition of equipment, sorting, counting, and storing supplies, as well as completing necessary forms related to your work assignments. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, and you will be required to join the Transport Workers Union (TWU) and pay union dues. This role is essential to the operations of WFS, which prides itself on delivering exceptional service in the aviation industry. The job may require you to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the airline industry. Responsibilities • Equip airplane cabin with equipment and supplies according to checklist specifications. , • Carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs on board aircraft. , • Check condition, clean, sort, count, salvage, and store equipment, and assemble kits. , • Operate vacuum cleaner and similar mechanized cleaning aids. , • Check deliveries of supplies against requisitions to determine discrepancies. , • Perform aircraft interior cleaning, including equipping the aircraft cabin for flight with supplies. , • Clean the interior of aircraft using hand or powered equipment and cleaning solutions. , • Complete the aircraft cleaning bill of work as required. , • Stock and clean vehicles used in the cleaning function. , • Stock and clean the cabin service make-up rooms area. , • Stock and maintain cabin service kits. , • Dispose of trash, rubbish, and waste related to job functions. , • Use cleaning fluids and materials such as washing solutions, scrapers, and vacuum cleaners. , • Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures. , • Report to work on a regular and timely basis. Requirements • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. , • Must be at least 18 years of age. , • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.
