Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. The Diesel Mechanic will work closely with other team members to provide high-quality service to our customers. Responsibilities • Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related systems to identify issues. • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. • Diagnose mechanical problems using automotive diagnostics tools and techniques. • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. • Work on air brake systems and hydraulic components to ensure proper functionality. • Assemble and align vehicle components as needed during repairs. • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle. • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. • Keep a clean shop and workspace as well as employee bathrooms. Skills • Proficiency in automotive diagnostics for diesel engines. • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and procedures. • Experience with air brake systems and hydraulics is essential. • Equipment operation skills are a plus for moving heavy equipment or parts. • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in repair work. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
