About the position This position is for an experienced Civil/Mechanical Engineer to manage various engineering projects, focusing on site design for commercial, municipal, and federal initiatives. The role involves overseeing projects from inception to completion, including scope definition, proposal preparation, design, budgeting, and scheduling. The Project Manager will lead a team, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and evaluate project performance while collaborating with clients and mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities • Manage projects from inception to completion, including project scope, proposals, design, budgeting, and scheduling. , • Lead the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. , • Monitor project progress, set deadlines, and solve issues that arise during the project lifecycle. , • Manage project finances and ensure stakeholder satisfaction. , • Evaluate project performance and the performance of team members. , • Prepare and review design calculations and check calculations for accuracy. , • Coordinate design drawings with fellow engineers and drafting technicians. , • Participate in the inspection and rehabilitation of existing structures. , • Oversee design checks as part of the LEI quality metrics and best practices. , • Resolve design problems through field investigations or inspections and detailed design work. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering. , • Professional Engineering registration in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. , • Minimum of 7 years engineering experience and 4 years project management experience. , • Ability to work on Federal Projects and meet federal requirements. , • Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred. , • Experience with Microsoft products. , • Solid math and analytical skills. , • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
