About the position As an Environmental Project Manager/Licensed Site Professional (LSP) at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will oversee client management, project execution, and business development. This role involves mentoring junior staff and providing senior direction on diverse projects across various sectors including real estate, manufacturing, and governmental clients. Your expertise will be crucial in managing hazardous waste site investigations and remediation efforts. Responsibilities • Manage current clients and develop new business opportunities. , • Oversee project management and execution for various environmental projects. , • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on project-related tasks. , • Prepare regulatory submittals under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). , • Supervise technical and administrative staff to ensure project success. , • Manage multiple projects, including budgeting and cost control. , • Develop and implement remediation strategies for hazardous waste sites. , • Conduct Phase I/II environmental assessments for real estate development. , • Perform due diligence and regulatory compliance audits. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Civil/Environmental Engineering; Master's degree is a plus. , • 10+ years of applicable experience in hazardous waste site investigation and remediation. , • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in regulatory submittals. , • Demonstrated experience in project management, budgeting, and cost control. , • Experience supervising technical and administrative staff. , • Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills. , • Proven business development and client management experience. , • Experience with soil and groundwater characterization at RCRA, CERCLA, and Brownfield sites. , • Knowledge of environmental compliance, including spill response plans and permitting. Nice-to-haves • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) certification. , • Existing client connections in the environmental sector.
