You will be a great fit for this Principal Software Engineer role if; • want to use your technical skills to impact real people every day - Medtronic products are used worldwide to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life • want technical ownership over your work and enjoy being involved in the entire software lifecycle (concept to landing) • love working cross functionally with product owners, security experts, data scientists and more while building real products • have experience building and landing modern cloud-based software using React, Typescript, Python, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc. • value scalable, available, maintainable, testable, observable cloud software • execute independently and are comfortable mentoring others and providing technical leadership • are a strong communicator who is able to discuss technical topics with anyone from engineers through stakeholders • hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline and 7+ years of experience (or 5+ years and an advanced degree) building software • have project management skills, including planning, estimation, and requirements management. Part of the Neuroscience portfolio, CST is comprised of four global businesses: Spine & Biologics, Enabling Technologies, and China Cranial, Spinal, Orthopedics & Technologies. Spine & Biologics, offers procedural solutions for spine surgery, and bone grafting solutions for spinal fusion. Enabling Technologies, delivers an innovative portfolio which include robotics, navigation, intra-operative imaging, advanced energy devices, cerebral spinal fluid management and critical care. China Cranial, Spinal, Orthopedics & Technologies, provides solutions in spine surgery, neurosurgery, surgical synergies, biologics, and orthopedics. Must Have: Minimum Requirements • Bachelors degree in a technically related field required • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience Candidates must be in the USA either in CO or willing to relocate.
