Service Associate II (37.5 hrs)

About the position The Service Associate II position at Eastern Bank is a hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and a Teller. This full-time position involves engaging with customers in both sales and transaction processing, primarily in in-store locations. The role focuses on achieving sales and service goals while ensuring operational compliance and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities • Open deposit accounts , • Prepare and process loan applications for various lending units (mortgage, consumer, small business, etc.) , • Close loans for customers for applicable business lines (i.e. consumer lending) , • Process ATM, ITM, TCR and ICOM transactions , • Make referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners , • Proactively reach out to high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio , • Handle daily account maintenance and other service issues as necessary , • Achieve quarterly sales goals , • Complete and implement additional trainings (Fiduciary, Business Documentation, Operations and Safe Deposit) , • Process deposits to customer accounts, including verification of cash and endorsements , • Cash checks for customers and non-customers according to bank policy , • Process and properly record the sale of monetary instruments (i.e. official bank checks) , • File government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and the sale of monetary instruments , • Process foreign currency purchases and sales , • Process various types of loan payments and credit card cash advances Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent , • 2-4 years of sales experience in a retail, financial services or hospitality environment preferred , • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment , • Outgoing self-starter with technical literacy , • Basic business acumen and professionalism , • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly , • Ability to build relationships and strong alliances across the organization , • Quick learner of products and services offered by the bank Nice-to-haves Benefits • Medical insurance , • Dental insurance , • Vision insurance , • Life insurance , • Disability insurance , • Retirement plan , • Vacation , • Tuition reimbursement Apply Job!
