Online ELA Instructors for K-12

iLearning is a dedicated online education center committed to serving K-12 students worldwide at all academic levels. We offer a diverse range of enrichment courses available both after and before school hours as well as on weekends. Currently, we are actively seeking qualified English Language Arts (ELA) teachers to instruct K-12 students. This role primarily involves teaching English Language Arts during weekday afternoons (Monday to Friday) and on weekends. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in any of the following areas: writing contests, SAT/ACT preparation, AP English, all test preparation. Our ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in English teaching, including at least 3 years of recent experience in online teaching. Proficiency in utilizing Zoom and Google Classroom, along with a stable internet connection, is a must. Responsibilities:

• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit students' interests and learning styles.
• Develop and assign various assessments while maintaining clear learning objectives.
• Provide one-on-one support to students when necessary.
• Monitor and report students' progress to administrators.
• Maintain regular communication with school administrators to understand students' backgrounds.
• Follow a consistent work schedule.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a qualified teacher.
• Exceptional communication and instructional skills.
• Ability to mediate between students effectively.
• Approachable, friendly, and reliable demeanor.
• Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field.
• A stable and high-speed internet connection for daily online teaching.
• A clean and non-distracting teaching background.
• Professional appearance during teaching sessions.
• Availability on weekdays and weekends.

Compensation:

• Compensation starts at $20 per hour or higher, inclusive of preparation time and homework correction/comments.
