Forklift/Pallet Repair
Overview: Move product by loading and unloading trailers. Inspection of all pallets and safe operation of pressurized Nailer and work as a cohesive member of the production line team Responsibilities:
- Stripping down bottle trailers for production
- Stripping down Polar trailers so they can be loaded
- Deliver bottles to production line
- Stacking cases on pallets
- Inspect all pallets for strength and integrity
- Operate the pressurized Nailer in a safe manner
- Ensure that the 2-liter palletizers are stocked with pallets according to the order
- Leave pallet magazines at least ½ full at the end of the shift
- Leave minimum of 100 pallets; scrap bin must be removed and replaced at the end of the shift
- Ensure 2 pallets of extra cardboard for the packers and replace spare pallet boards if low or out
- Promote cleanliness in the pallet repair area – ensure the area is swept and debris free and pallets to be stacked neatly
- Paint strip on side of pallets that are repaired
- Record counts: number of pallets sorted, number of good pallets and doubles, number of repaired pallets
- Report any mechanical, raw material or procedural problems
- Notify supervisor of wet or damaged cases
- Product rotation
- Check case codes and shrink wrap
- Promote cleanliness in areas
- Must understand the company’s commitment to food, safety, quality, and continuous improvement as outlined in the Polar Beverages Safety and Quality Policy and to understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job.
- Must understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and to ensure GMP compliance of fellow employees.

- Ability to lift 30 lbs. or more
