Travel Claim Examiner and Customer Service Representative

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States Job Summary:As a Travel Claims & Customer Service Representative, you will take the first reports of claims and will initiate the claims process. This is a front-line position in our Travel department and is crucial in setting the tone for fulfilling our promise of providing exceptional white-glove service to our claimants and callers. You will use your independent judgment and communication skills to obtain information and determine if coverage exists and relay this information to claimants . Primary Responsibilities: - Independently process travel claims in accordance with associated policies - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials, technical procedures, benefit plans and regulations - Handle incoming calls from and make outgoing calls to claimants and suppliers in a professional, positive and proactive manner - Consistently meet established performance standards, including quantity and quality claims processing standards - Maintain current knowledge of Plans and effectively apply this knowledge to the payment of claims, customer service, and all other job functions - Ability to function independently within established guidelines. - Maintain HIPAA compliance Requirements and Qualifications: - Effective time management skills - Ability to function independently within established guidelines - Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills - Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office programs - Problem/issue resolution capability - Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team based environment About Us:One80 Intermediaries offers market leading access to all major insurance markets in the US, UK, and Canada, as well as exclusive programs and in-house binding authority for property & casualty, financial lines, personal lines, life insurance, medical stop loss risks, travel/accident and health, affinity business and warranty coverage. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base hourly pay range for this position is between $16.85 - $21.65 plus discretionary bonus.
