We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team, offering the flexibility of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The Payroll Manager will work alongside and support the HR director. This role is crucial in ensuring that our payroll processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient, contributing to the overall success of our organization. As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing and processing bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and tipped staff across multiple restaurant locations. You will ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including tax filings, wage and hour laws, and employee deductions. Additionally, you will generate and review payroll reports for accuracy and present them to management, ensuring transparency and adherence to financial policies. Collaborating with HR, you will manage and reconcile employee benefits deductions, ensuring accurate processing and reporting. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, providing timely and effective resolutions to any payroll-related issues. You will oversee the payroll software, ensuring it is up-to-date and meets the needs of the company, while also recommending improvements as necessary. Regular audits of payroll procedures and records will be conducted to maintain accuracy and compliance. Furthermore, you will identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations. Requirements • Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll management experience, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry. , • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. , • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. , • In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tip reporting and tax laws. , • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll information to employees and management clearly. , • Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to handling sensitive financial data. , • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
