Remote Finance Controller / Philippines
Kingz Kimonos, a leader in high-quality Jiu-Jitsu gear, is seeking an experienced Remote Finance Controller to establish and maintain the procedures for the finance and accounting department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with U.S.-based companies and proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and eCommerce sales. This position is full-time and requires excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the CFO and outsourced accounting teams. Availability: Immediately Schedule: 40 hr weeks, open availability (Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:30pm PHT) Hourly Wage: $8.00 USD per hour Responsibilities 1. Day-to-Day Accounting Manage billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and revenue recognition. 2. Budgeting & Financial Forecasting Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts to support business planning. Identify and report significant variances. 3. Cash Flow Management Oversee cash flow, debt, and collections to ensure financial stability. 4. Compliance & Control Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies. Assist in preparing financials for the CPA. Prepare and file annual 1099 forms in compliance with IRS requirements. Perform GST monthly reconciliations and process GST returns for the Canadian operations. 5. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide leadership with a clear view of financial health. Support financial reporting and analysis to aid decision-making. Track and reconcile out of state event sales, including event-related expenses and revenue. 6. Collaboration & Communication Participate in weekly calls with the CFO to discuss financial updates and priorities. Supervise the outsourced accounting team, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering accountability. 7. Audit Coordination Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and manage the audit process, including annual workers compensation audits. 8. Process Improvement & Tools Utilize QBO, Hubdoc, Bill.com, and Microsoft Excel for document management, accounting, and payment workflows. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in financial systems and processes. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role for a U.S.-based company Experience in eCommerce financial management (e.g., Shopify financial reporting). Familiarity with U.S. tax regulations, including 1099 preparation.
