Position: Full charge bookkeeper / accounting - Part-Time We are looking for an experienced mid-level full-charge bookkeeper who wants to bring a fun and fresh approach to an established company filled with opportunities. This position is part-time, 24-32 hours a week based on our seasonality. After the initial training period is completed, the option to work some days from home will be reviewed. Candidate must live in the Chicagoland area. Record-A-Hit Entertainment is a Chicagoland company based in Elk Grove Village that services clients on a local and national basis from coast to coast. In 2024, Record-A-Hit (RAH) provided attractions for over 1,800 events. In 2025, RAH celebrated 39 years of being in business. You will be part of an industry leader that helps create memories for our clients as we provide them with high-quality attractions to enhance their events. Job Duties: • Financial Reporting • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports. • Reconcile all bank accounts at the end of the month. • Accounts Payable • Accounts Receivable • Employee Benefits • Manage health insurance, profit sharing, health savings accounts. • Payroll Management • Use Quickbooks Enterprise for full payroll service. • Credit Card Purchases • Collect receipts from employees. • Categorize in Quickbooks. • Tax Compliance • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns. • City of Chicago 9% Entertainment Tax; prepare a yearly report. • File quarterly taxes including 941, Federal IL-941, MN941 and Workforce to MN. • Prepare W-2 for all employees and distribute them accordingly. • Prepare 1099 NEC for qualifying subcontractors. • Insurance Audits • Prepare Workman’s Comp and Liability policy yearly audits. • Collect certificates of insurance. Requirements and Skills: • Proven experience with a minimum of 2 years of proficiency in Quick Books and Excel. • Experience in the entertainment/hospitality/travel or related industries a plus but not necessary. • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are effectively balanced. • Display the ability to identify financial challenges and provide effective solutions to drive financial success. • Operate with the Apply Job!
