Job Title: Director, Quality Assurance Department: Operations Reports to: Chief Operating Officer Owl Cyber Defense is a leader and trusted partner in cyber security. Job Summary: Due to continued growth, Owl is hiring a Director of Quality Assurance. In this role you will be responsible for quality assurance policies, programs, regulatory compliance, product quality assurance and quality management initiatives. Directs process and product testing to ensure quality standards are met during development through production. Work with business and development teams to understand business requirements and to identify and resolve problematic discrepancies. The successful candidate is an experienced leader with a hands-on manager style who can ensure QA Department success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and implement quality assurance metrics that monitor quality standards • Lead Owl through quality process improvement activities by utilizing root cause data analysis and defect prevention methodologies, propose corrective approaches for measurable improvements, track and report progress, and communicate the plans and results to effectively drive measurable improvements. • Proactively implement continuous process improvements to ensure product quality. • Develop and leverage metrics-based governance, relevant reporting and audit mechanisms. Assist the project managers in identifying data to maintain, and KPIs to analyze and report against. • Develop short term plans and long-term strategies that drive policy, procedure and vision to ensure excellent quality and delivery performance. • Drive quality risk management initiatives, identifying and mitigating risks to product quality and regulatory compliance. • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production and Product Management to ensure alignment and integration of quality assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle. • Provide strategic guidance and support for product quality issues as needed. • Lead regulatory audits and quality assessments ensuring readiness and compliance. • Establish and maintain policy and procedures • Maintain certification and compliance efforts for AS9100, and CMMI and other required certifications • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements/Qualifications: Experience • 15+ years in Quality Assurance with 5-7 years in leadership • Experience in Defense, Aerospace, and/or Medical Device industries is highly desired Education • BS Degree in business management, computer science, related discipline, or equivalent experience. (MS preferred) • ASQ certification preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities • Knowledge of quality and software development concepts, practices, and procedures. • Experience with Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office applications. • Experience working with continuous improvement and lean methodology practices Additional Competencies/Requirements • This position can support remote employees • Required travel to Owl’s office locations ~20% annually • Candidates must be able to obtain/maintain a US Government security clearance About Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC is a fast-growing cybersecurity solutions company, holding a firm leadership position in network security and secure information transfer.
