Position Overview: We're seeking a strategic Controller to oversee Biometrica's financial management as we scale our public safety technology solutions across multiple jurisdictions. This role combines traditional controller responsibilities with the unique aspects of managing finances for a rapidly growing technology company in the public safety sector. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Financial Leadership: - Lead financial strategy during rapid geographic expansion - Manage financial aspects of public-private partnerships - Oversee multi-jurisdictional revenue recognition - Coordinate with third-party accounting firm 2. Financial Operations & Reporting: - Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements via Carta - Ensure GAAP compliance and accurate reporting - Manage cash flow across multiple revenue streams - Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes 3. Revenue & Contract Management: - Coordinate with sales team on contract processing - Ensure accurate invoicing across multiple verticals - Manage complex revenue recognition scenarios - Oversee CRM financial data accuracy 4. Compliance & Licensing: - Manage multi-state licensing requirements - Oversee gaming jurisdiction compliance - Handle Native American tribal licensing requirements - Maintain PILB and other critical certifications 5. Corporate Governance: - Maintain Carta documentation - Coordinate 409A valuations - Manage stock ledgers and option tracking - Interface with legal counsel on corporate matters 6.
